Accent Nail

I LOVE accents nails. I think that they are the perfect way to try bold colors or something extremely glittery without having to go over the top. Here I used Essie's Starter Wife and for the accent nail I used Milani's HD (3D Holographic in Silver). One of my favorite combos!

Glitzy Purple

It's been a lengthy vacation that we have taken to get through the final year of high school; from applying to college to those dreadful final exams. But now that we are all in college and settled in we have more time to post. We'll begin with one of my favorite polish combinations: Wet n Wild's fast dry polish in Hannah Pinktana over Rimmel's Steel Grey (one of my all time favorite polishes). This greats a nice mauve perfect holo effect that I just love.

Until next time,

Xin Nian Kuai Le! (^^

新年快乐! (^^ Happy Chinese New Year!! Another year has passed and it is now the year of the Rabbit. Even though this design was something that I had created for Chinese New Year, it can be used for any occasion. For this design, I first applied one coat of NK's Calcium Gel as a base coat. Then I applied two coats of Wet n Wild Wild Shines Red Red. I chose red for the main color because in China, red symbolizes happiness and good luck. On Chinese New Year, children also received red envelopes which contain money as a sign of luck and prosperity in the coming year. Next, I added four rhinestones to each of my ring fingers before the polish had dried completely. I had applied the rhinestones in a curve shape from my cuticle to about half way mark on the side of my nail. When the left and right hand are placed next to each other, the rhinestones on the ring finger form a semi circle. Finally, I applied one coat of NK's Blue Diamond top coat.

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
